Senior Stylist

Ellie Zerr

A graduate of the John Casablancas Institute’s Hair Art Design Program (2019), Ellie brings an intuitive and a personal approach to every appointment. She specializes in lived-in blonding, soft grow-outs, hair extensions, and creating effortless, natural cuts that move beautifully and grow out seamlessly.

For Ellie, it all begins with the consultation; she’s deeply visual and collaborative. She takes time to understand both how you want to feel and how you want to look. “My goal is to create hairstyles that feel authentic, wearable, and completely aligned with your personality.” Ellie is all about creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely excited about your hair. If you believe great hair should feel like you—just elevated—you’ll love sitting in her chair.

Inspired by artists like Kim Haberley, Camia Cabrera, Dom Dom Hair, Christine LeBlanc, and Natalie McKell, Ellie blends modern techniques with a soft, organic finish. Ellie’s vibe could best be described as “East Van Country”: grounded, creative, a little nostalgic, and deeply rooted in authenticity. She draws inspiration from kind, genuine people and believes hair should never feel forced or overdone.

Outside the salon, she finds endless inspiration in nature—especially birds and plants (she really loves birding). If you ever want to talk about your latest haircut and local warblers, she’s your person. She’s a book gal, loves photography, and goes to live music shows whenever she can. She lived in Mexico for six months during her Grade 12 year; this shaped her independence and sense of adventure.

If she could have lunch with anyone, it would be her dad, whom she misses every day. That same depth of heart and care carries into how she connects with her clients. Her daily essentials? Coffee in the morning (non-negotiable) and a little honest humour about life’s realities. If she were played in a movie, it would probably be Emma Stone—awkward, charming, and funny.
